Securing the right PR & marketing support for a short film can transform its release. Marketing efforts, such as coverage in industry press, social media strategy, effective advertisement and festival submissions all require time-intensive work that can otherwise eat into production time.
The good news? We’ve got you covered.
At Grammatik, we’ve built professional relationships with journalists and event organisers across the Film, Television, VFX and animation space. We can secure effective coverage, ensuring the widest possible exposure. We’re also highly skilled in social media strategy and advertisement, targeting your film’s focal demographics and significantly raising awareness.
Getting your film on-screen at a festival or short-listed for a well-earned award can provide excellent exposure. We can write up engaging submission forms, collating all the relevant assets and materials needed to maximise your chances.
Take a look at some recent examples of our short film work below:
Sci-fi passion project RISE was the result of four years of hard graft from rising Hollywood director David Karlak and team. The team approached us with the task of maximising the reach of RISE and generating a press plan for the film.
We approached this core goal via a multi-tiered strategy. Over the course of a month-long campaign, the team engaged high-profile press and influencers, suggested awards and speaking opportunities, and worked to disseminate the film through multiple social channels.
A horror short released during Halloween 2019, Duermete Nino pulled no punches when it came to tension building and striking visuals. From the offset, we set out to expose the film’s unique features in a bid to break into the thriving horror media scene. This included it’s striking visual and practical effects.
The end result saw 20+ pieces of coverage in leading industry publications such as No Film School, Dread Central, First Showings and Gruesome Magazine. We also curated and implemented a bespoke social media strategy, gradually releasing behind the scenes content to build excitement, before launching a targeted Twitter and Instagram ad campaign over Halloween weekend.
A science fantasy short film, DISPEL tells the story of a mother’s addiction through the imaginative eyes of her 12-year-old daughter. Armed with the lessons of her favourite TV show, young Lizzie battles to save her mother from the dark forces that have transformed her.
Grammatik handled all PR, social media and event opportunities around the project, curating director Q&As, behind the scenes articles, and blogs which were featured in leading press outlets. We also successfully acquired panel opportunities for the director and celebrity influencer endorsements.
Get in touch below if you have a brief or a project that you would like our team to support on. We’d be delighted to share some ideas on how we would help you overcome your challenges.
