The client
Autodesk develops software products and services for the architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, media, education, and entertainment industries. The Future of British Manufacturing Initiative, created by Autodesk, is a collaboration between leading UK industry organisations focused on increasing the competitive advantage of UK Design and Manufacturing companies by removing the barriers to true productivity and innovation.
Part of this initiative, the Digital Catalyst Program, places ‘digital champions’ design and engineering graduates into businesses to offer a fresh perspective to design or manufacturing challenges.
The brief
Playdale Playgrounds is a Cumbria-based playground equipment manufacturer. Following the success of a Digital Catalyst placement in the business to tackle a digital transformation project, Autodesk briefed Grammatik to document the success of this by creating a video and PDF case study.
The video would be designed to cover the project challenge, solution and result of a Digital Catalyst placement and appeal both to appeal to students, and to businesses who were considering participation in the scheme.
The strategy
Grammatik organised a COVID safe 1-day film shoot at the PlayDale premises, created a shoot treatment, scouted locations, prepared interviewees and devised a series of soundbites to ensure the edit would be able to present the story well.
With the video edit going through an open collaborative review and approval process, we were able to capture enough information and soundbites to create the written article and have it formatted to fit Autodesk brand guidelines.
Having interviewed stakeholders from Playdale Playgrounds and the Digital Catalyst student for the video shoot, we were well versed in the detail of the project and could craft the customer case from this knowledge.
The Results
Increased engagement with digital catalyst programme
