The client
With a portfolio spanning global blockbuster hits to regional episodic shows, FutureWorks is a full-service post-production studio and rental house with three sites across India. Recent projects include Amazon Prime’s smash hit Fallout, Apple TV’s Lady in the Lake, and Netflix’s visual spectacle Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.
Grammatik was approached to support FutureWorks as its marketing and PR function. Acting as an extension of its team, we provide everything from consultancy to marketing and PR content delivery and social media management.
The brief
As a well-established post-production studio in India, FutureWorks has delivered colour, sound, and VFX services for major episodic features. With its acclaimed expertise in visual effects, FutureWorks aimed to raise its VFX profile globally, targeting key markets such as the US and the UK.
As FutureWorks extended marketing team, Grammatik played an essential role in delivering this goal – not only through our multi-channel marketing expertise but also due to our strong foundations in the visual effects industry.
The strategy
We adopted a multi-channel approach encompassing earned, owned, and paid media – focusing on core markets such as the US and the UK. Media relations and content marketing were central to the strategy, with a strong emphasis on demonstrating FutureWorks’ expertise through the projects delivered. We also engaged stakeholders across the business to create thought leadership content. This was a valuable exercise for raising brand awareness and positioning FutureWorks as a leader in the industry.
To boost time and efficiency, we maximised project information obtained through interviews to produce an extensive wealth of content marketing materials. This included creating case studies that could be repurposed for press, website, and social media use. Where performance was strong, we invested in paid media on social platforms, targeting VFX decision-makers in key markets.
Finally, we introduced a dedicated YouTube channel to showcase FutureWorks’ VFX projects – not only serving as a shop window for the studio’s wealth of expertise but also as a key element in the content marketing strategy, driving traffic to and from the FutureWorks website.
