The client
Lux Aeterna is a long-standing client of ours and despite the challenges the production industry has faced over recent years, the studio has gone from strength to strength by building a well-respected reputation in visual effects.
We’ve been privileged to support Lux Aeterna on this journey – with work spanning from amplifying the deliverables for the Netflix hit documentary ‘Our Universe’ to increasing the business’s search engine presence through SEO-optimised owned content.
The brief
As an ongoing strategy to position the studio as an expert in its field, thought leadership content has played a pivotal role in our tactics. In 2019, Lux Aeterna partnered with the University of Bristol’s MyWorld programme bid for the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Strength in Places Fund (SIPF). James Pollock, Creative Technologist at Lux Aeterna, has overseen the studio’s involvement and notably, its research into the use of AI in VFX, since the project’s inception.
We’ve supported Lux Aeterna with its research and stance on the use of AI in VFX for the past year and a half. Both demonstrating its R&D in the field and the exploration of ethics in the use of it.
The strategy
To establish Lux Aeterna as an AI thought leader, we implemented a multi-channel approach that combined visibility with authority. By securing high-profile speaking engagements and facilitating key event attendance, we positioned the studio directly in front of key industry stakeholders. In tandem, we created owned content that showcased the team’s expertise, while also securing global earned media coverage. Additionally, we leveraged relationships with influential voices in the industry to further amplify the studio’s reach, ensuring its insights were part of critical industry conversations and discussions across both traditional and digital platforms.
